Optimized use of Axis and Analytical Category

Finthesis' Chabot summarizes the analytical organization as follows:

  • Analytical axis: main breakdown criterion (e.g. site, project)

  • Analytical category: subset of an axis (e.g. Paris, Lyon for the "site" axis).

Based on this structure, it would be interesting to have an income statement (based on the "Analytical in columns" display type) for a given period, in which you could choose to display in COLUMNS :

  • all or part of the Axes (without having to switch from one axis to another),

  • OR all or part of the Categories (as is already the case with the "Analytical in Columns" display type),

Similarly, you could choose to display in LINES :

  • if the Axes are in columns :

    • accounting accounts or categories,

    • accounting accounts in major and categories in minor,

    • Categories in major and accounts in minor,

  • if Categories are in columns :

    • accounting accounts.

It would also be interesting to have another income statement (modelled on the "Analytical in rows, dates in columns" display type) in which you could choose to display in ROWS :

  • all accounting accounts

  • OR all or part of the Axes (without having to switch from one axis to another),

  • OR all or part of the Categories (as is already the case with the "Analytical in rows, dates in columns" display type),

  • OR a combination of two or three of these elements by choosing the display order: accounts then Axes then Categories or Axes then Categories or Axes then accounts...

In this way, you can build an income statement with the presentation that corresponds to your analytical organization.
